 
The funds are provided to assist original and challenging
international research which meets social as well as academic demands in the fields
of humanities and social sciences. The foundation takes applications from students
of doctoral courses and researchers within five years after finishing doctoral
course, and reviews them in the screening committee once a year.

The "Matsushita International Scholarship" provides
funds for young Japanese students and scholars to pursue research abroad in the
fields of humanities and social sciences. Its goals are to help promote exchanges
between Japan and Asian, African and Latin American countries to contribute to
the development of those countries.

study in Japan with the intention of training them in a way that develops high
intercultural awareness and makes them capable of playing a leading role in future
international relations.
The major program of this activity is the scholarship for students from Asia studying
